Dr Rohinisri Sankar is an obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Bangalore. She completed her postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, and has since worked across busy government and large corporate hospital settings.
As a senior resident she performed more than 150 complicated high-risk caesarean sections and over 50 emergency surgeries for conditions such as ectopic pregnancy and ovarian torsion. At Aster Women and Children Hospital she ran a high-volume labour room and handled complex deliveries and gynaecological surgery. She is now a fellow in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery with the Sunrise Group of Hospitals, where she has assisted and led over 200 laparoscopic and pelvic procedures.
